Advising Session
Includes: brainstorming, outlining, tutoring, and planning your writing goals.
Helps with: setting goals so that you write with purpose and clarity.
Best for: writers who don’t have a draft (or a plan) yet.
Advising Session Details
- Advising sessions are for brainstorming and planning your writing project. I meet with you to discuss your ideas, strategize, provide feedback, and plan your writing goals.
- I help with struggles around starting or continuing to write, like feeling unsure of how to improve and feeling overwhelmed with tasks.
- Advising sessions are best if you do not yet have a draft, or if you need help brainstorming and planning your project.
- Price is USD$129 for one 60-minute session. Price includes my work in scheduling and preparing for our session, advising and note-taking during our session, and wrap-up notes after our session.
Feedback Session
Includes: written feedback in advance AND an advising session to discuss the feedback.
Helps with: revising and strengthening your draft with specific feedback.
Best for: writers who already have a draft but need feedback on it.
Feedback Session Details
- Feedback sessions are best if you have a rough draft and want written feedback. These sessions involve me reading your draft, sending you written comments in advance, and us meeting to discuss my feedback and revision strategies.
- First, I read your project in advance and email you written feedback prior to our meeting. My written feedback consists of margin comments and suggestions for future writing. Then, we meet virtually to discuss the feedback and strategies for revision.
- Depending on the length of your draft and my availability, I am generally able to send you written comments in 3-7 days, and at least 1 day prior to our meeting.
- Price is determined on a case-by-case basis, but generally ranges between USD$150-$299. Price includes my work in scheduling and preparing for our session, reading and commenting on your draft in advance, advising and note-taking during our session, and wrap-up notes after our session.
